The Brandeis Award given by Privacy International recognizes "those who have done exemplary work to protect and champion privacy." Privacy International also gives the Big Brother Award to those organizations perceived as major threats to privacy. (In his 1928 dissent to Olmstead v. United States, Brandeis famously defined privacy as "the right to be left alone.")
